The Minleon Group consists of Minleon China, Rainmin China, Minleon (USA) International & Minleon Australia. Minleon China & Minleon (USA) International were both created in 2005. Since then, Minleon China has had a direct interest in Minleon (USA) International, who serves the US market. The Rainmin Intelligent Illumination brand was spun off from Minleon China in about 2017. Rainmin is Minleon’s RGB/W+ controllable pixel factory. Minleon-Rainmin debuted their first RGB pixel, the TrikLit in 2011.

Minleon USA supports dozens of US Distributors & Dealers who commit to minimum annual purchase & import containers from our factories. US distributor list available by request (sales@minleonusa.com). Most bulk international sales are run through Minleon-Rainmin China.

Minleon USA is a branch of the manufacturer and the official chosen distribution outlet of both Minleon China & Rainmin Illumination LED factories. All three entities share resources as part of The Minleon Group.

Yes, Minleon USA stocks heavily in controllers, accessories and common-option RGB/W strings & fixtures to support our distribution base. Because Minleon China manufactures with many different light strings options (string length, pixel spacing, chipset, voltage, wire color, bulb style/shape, etc.), we cannot stock 100% of the options in the US… but we can broker custom orders with factory MOQ’s for qualified distributors & dealers in good standing.

Most of our RGB/W+ light strings are manufactured for 4-season, year-round use. We have some seasonal, holiday lighting exceptions.

“Permanent” lighting refers to lights that are manufactured with the specific intention to stay up all year, for up to & beyond 10-years. Such features include IP66 twist-lock connectors, insulated wire, a redundant data line/4-wire pixels, UL compliance, UV protection, along with over 20-year’s experience in the industry. “Holiday” lighting is manufactured to stay up seasonally for up to 3 months per year, for multiple years. These products may contain more affordable components, at a better price point.

We do not. MeshTek Labs is one of Minleon’s strategic partners. MeshTek controllers are supported and will control all of Minleon-Rainmin RGB/W+ pixels & fixtures.

MeshTek controllers operate not via Wi-Fi, but on the BLE (long-range Bluetooth) wireless bandwidth. This is valuable in marketplace, arena & municipality installations where there is Wi-Fi pollution, and where any Wi-Fi device may become latent. MeshTek’s BLE controllers thrive where Wi-Fi may not be a viable option.

Each light installation can be unique & each of our controller’s have different strengths. We allow each project’s vision, scope & location determine the best control solution.

WEC is an acronym for "Wi-Fi Effects Controller”. The present version is our Gen3 hardware, hence WEC3. The biggest difference from the WEC2 is an on-board scheduler.

The WEC3 Mini is a compact controller suitable for residential installations & installs where we are leaning on a third-party router to extend the Wi-Fi signal. The WEC3 Boss has an external antenna & double the wireless range as the WEC3 Mini’s internal antenna. The WEC3 Dual Port adds a second split-port for power & lights, to control 400-FT of roofline from a single power receptacle.

Yes. All WEC3 function the same & use the same firmware. If “port 2” is configured on a WEC3 Mini or Boss, then the controller simply ignore the command, as these are single-port controllers.

Yes. All WEC3’s can be controlled by the “Pixel Dancer” App on both iOS and Android. Alternatively, the WEC3 can be controlled by a back-end Web App at 192.168.2.2 on a web browser..

NDB stands for Network Distribution Box. The NDB distributes both power & data to the pixel strings. The NDB is also an Ethernet controller and opens up the world of ArtNet, sACN, DMX, Light-O-Rama/E1.31 to the light designers & programmers.

NDB’s are preferred for 2-dimensional grids, curtains, pixel walls & cone trees. WEC’s are preferred for 1-dimensional rooflines. NDB’s can also handle more power & drive more pixels than a WEC3. If you are programming in Madrix, Resolume, GrandMA, Green Hippo, etc., then an NDB is necessary for integration.

Only the NDB-Pro has built-in effects. The NDB+16 and NDB+4 are meant to be used in Ethernet mode, or with Minleon’s NEC.

The NEC is used mostly for its SD Card slot & audio output jack which can support "X-Lights" sequence files & .wav music files. This allows us to set the lights to music & play more in-depth effects than what our stock controllers have on-board—without having to store a PC on site. Tower trees in marketplaces are one of the most popular landing spots for Minleon NEC’s, along with pixel walls, curtains & tunnels.
